As the Director of Photography for seasons 8 through 12 of Expedition X, my primary focus was on capturing world-class adventure documentation in demanding and remote locations across the globe. My responsibilities required managing agile, professional camera workflows and executing stunning, atmospheric recreations that anchored the visual narrative and moody aesthetic of our investigations. Beyond establishing the visual language of the series, I also took on a highly specialized technical role. I designed, fabricated, and programmed custom hardware devices and bespoke software interfaces utilized directly on camera. Utilizing 3D modeling, custom electronics, and advanced UI programming, I engineered functional, tactical diagnostic tools and specialized sensor dashboards. This hands-on fabrication allowed our team to interact with complex, authentic-looking data visualizations in the field, seamlessly blending my technical engineering background with the rigorous cinematic demands of the production.
