Serving as the Director of Photography for "Waiting" marked my first visual collaboration with Sacred Skin. Working under the direction of Jane Slater, my objective was to capture an almost dream-like atmosphere for the track. The concept was structured as a classic journey video, following the characters as they navigate the sprawling streets of Los Angeles, driven by the ultimate goal of being reunited. A significant portion of the production was anchored in the iconic environments of Chinatown. We took full advantage of the vibrant, saturated colors and the intimate, textured pedestrian passageways unique to the area. By utilizing these naturally atmospheric locations, I was able to shape a rich, glowing aesthetic that heightened the surreal, wandering tone of the video, making the characters' journey through the city feel both expansive and deeply personal.
